Library gets complaint about violence in "Hop On Pop"

The Dr. Seuss classic "Hop on Pop" still has a place on the shelves of a library in Toronto despite one patron's attempt to get the book banned.  CTV News says the angry reader complained that the 1963 children's book encourages kids to "use violence against their fathers."  The complaint also asked for an apology to all fathers in the Toronto area and demanded that the library "pay for damages resulting from the book."  The Materials Review Committee, however, pointed out that "Hop on Pop" is humorous, well-loved, and actually tells children not to hop on pop.
